iPhone 14 VPN
My new iPhone 14 goes through a VPN connect and disconnect process (I have no VPN of my choosing) whenever I go to Settings. Why.

I do not recall placing a VPN on my iPhone 14 or the iPhone 10 which the 14 replaced. After going through a connect/disconnect process (spinning star), the VPN button settles on the off position indicating no VPN connection which is what I expected because I have not placed a VPN on my phone.
What VPN do you have on your phone? For a business or school access to a private network?
The VPN button should not enable at all. Go to Settings/General/VPN & Device Management. Do you see any profiles? Then go tap on VPN. Do you see anything there?
No profiles, just VPN slot showing Not Connected. Tap on VPN--- Status displaying "connecting" and "not connected" processing then settling on "not connected". On this page "Digital Secure Safe WiFi" is enabled.
On what page? “Digital Secure Safe Wi-Fi” must be from a 3rd party add-on; it is not something that iOS displays on its own, and it could be your problem. Can you post a screenshot of it? Do you have any sort of antivirus or malware app installed, or a “helper” app that is supposed to protect your phone?
