Voice Memos stuck downloading after updating to 16

I’m just sick because I updated and some of my voice memos are still there, but I’ve got probably 30 stuck saying “Downloading”. It’s been over 24 hours and none have downloaded. I see other people complaining about the same thing, and I see other’s suggesting that they delete the app and reinstall it. I’m glad I didn’t try that because a lot of people say they lost every single one after that! But……what about off loading the app and not deleting it? Anyone tried that? And did it work? I lost my daddy and I need those back!!!
