iPhone 7 won't recognize SIM card

My Iphone 7 isn't reading the simcard denoting (no service) and is failing to update the ios denoting (unable to activate, an update is required to activate your phone)

Sounds like you need a cellular update

If your phone is still working...

Support article: If you see No Service, Searching, or SOS on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Go through the various suggestions in the support article above but if they don't help, and your network carrier can't help, then  contact Apple Support for further investigation. You should be able to reach them here

If your phone has been reset and you are trying to activate it then the only option from the above article is to remove the SIM and put is back a few times while the phone is still powered on then restart it.
