What is the life expectancy of an Apple Watc?

I bought my first Apple Watch in October 2020. After a year the microphone stopped working. 1,6 year after the purchase I got the watch replaced thanks to the warranty. However, after only 7 months the new Watch mysteriously stopped working altogether (randomly flashing Apple symbol and getting warm when charging and hard reset not possible) and now there is no warranty left. Do I dare buy another watch? I believe it is too expensive for it to have a life expectancy of less than two years. I want to be able to use it daily for at least 6 years. What are the odds?

I am guessing that you just had bad luck. My dad is still using my original Apple Watch from 2015. I used that one from 2015 to 2022 on a daily basis, and now he is using it since march 2022 when I bought a new watch, on daily basis. Still going strong, that watch
