How to reset MacBook Touch ID?

I cut my finger and Touch ID stopped allowing me in. Any idea how to reset Touch ID? Thanks, Tamara

Hello drts19,

You can use these steps to add additional fingerprints to Touch ID:

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Touch ID.
2. Click “Add a fingerprint,” enter your password, then follow the onscreen instructions.

You can add up to three fingerprints to your user account

If you want to delete a fingerprint, just click on one of your existing fingerprints, enter your password then select Delete.

Use Touch ID on Mac

Cheers!
