Mail.app: Individual column view layout possible?

Is it possible to define in Mail.app an individual layout for Mailboxes in column view?

For example: If I have a mailbox called "A" where I store all the messages I've received and another called "B" where I store all the messages I have sent. Now in column view it makes sense to display the following column-layouts:

For mailbox "A": | From | Date received | Subject |

For mailbox "B": | To | Date sent | Subject |

Is it possible to assign such individual column-layouts to individual mailboxes?

If I use Tabs, I can define different column-layouts in each tab. So I can view the mailbox "A" in Tab-1 and "B" in Tab-2. However when I quit Mail.app and open it again, the two Tabs are restored, however both Tabs have the same column-layout. i.e. Tab-1 and Tab-2 both show the column layout of "A": | From | Date received | Subject |.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. A mailbox is related to an email account, so typically you might have a mailbox for an icloud account (ie. an email address ending @icloud.com) and another mailbox for a gmail account ending @gmail.com. Within each of those accounts the mail.app automatically creates folders, one for received mail to that email address (Inbox), another folder for what you sent using that email account (Sent).

In Column view, you select a folder to view, not a mailbox.

On my system, whichever Inbox folder I choose shows ... | From | Date received | Subject | ...

and every Sent folder shows ... | To | Date sent | Subject |...

and each individual Tab is laid out the correct way.

So I am not sure what your mailbox "A" and mailbox "B" refers to. Are they folders not mailboxes?

In Mail.app terminology, a mailbox is just like a folder which you can create by using menue item "Mailbox->Create Mailbox...". You can create Mailboxes (Folders) locally. Typically you would create local Mailboxes (or shall I say folders) to organize/archive your e-mails. You would create local folders for archive purposes or just because you would like to store important things locally and/or do not count agianst your providers account-quota.

So to be clear, "A" and "B" in my original post just refer to local Mailboxes created by "Mailbox->Create Mailbox...".

Now it would be nice if in column-layout, the column-items could be adjusted according to the information "A" and "B" contain.
