iOS 16 Shortcuts Number Input No Longer Receiving Automatic Focus

After updating to iOS 16, my shortcuts that prompt for a number input require me to tap the input field to receive focus and show the number input keyboard. Text inputs, however, are working correctly and automatically get focus and show the keyboard.

Is there anything I can do? This slows down the shortcut experience significantly as my shortcut prompts for 3 different numbers.

Hello philipfromkeller,

It sounds like you're having to tap the input field to enter numbers when you use a shortcut, but you do not have to tap the field for letters, correct?

Are you running iOS 16.2 specifically? If not, try backing up and updating to see if there's a difference after: Update your iPhone or iPad

It might also help to test this out by deleting one of the affected shortcuts and re-creating it with the same parameters. Give that a try and let us know the results.

Best regards.

Thank you,

I updated to iOS 16.2 and that did not fix the existing shortcut. New shortcuts that ask for one number input will now show the input keys however, creating a shortcut with more than one number input (including my existing shortcut) and running it from the home screen results in a short loading animation (a circle loading around a box) then the prompt will appear without the number keypad showing until the field is tapped.
