how to find the macbook air os version during set up of a new (to me) laptop

My son gave me his Macbook Air laptop. I am going through the set up and it is asking me for the version. My son says I have to click on the apple to get that info but there is no apple visible during the set up procedure. Suggestions?

Also, on the Terms and Conditions page, the "Agree" button is grayed out even after I read through the terms and conditions, scrolling all the way to the bottom of each page. There is no "Accept" button visible. I cannot find a way to proceed beyond this page.

Hello sharon-26,

We recommend ensuring that your son took all steps listed in the following article before providing you with your MacBook Air: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

These steps are important to ensure that it works as expected and can be set up as yours when you receive it. Once these steps are taken you can you can set up your device as new. The following user guide goes over those steps: Set up your MacBook Air - Apple Support

If the behavior persists after reviewing these steps please share additional information about what you see on your display. If you see an error, alert, or request, share the exact text. These details can help facilitate additional replies from the community.

Regards.
