Changing File & Folder Names on External Drives

I just moved to a MAC Mini from WIN and have several external drives with data that I want to reorganize & rename. I am unable to move or rename any file or folder.

Please advise how to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance

Microsoft was warned others that it considers Windows New Technology File System (NTFS) its proprietary property, and said they will sue anyone who uses that format without paying them royalty payments.

Apple thinks this is nonsense. Your Mac can read, but not write NTFS format drives, unless you add a utility that paid the royalty already. Tuxiera and Paragon are the most popular vendors, but their add-ons are not free.

Copying those files to a Mac format drive is free.
