Green circle on when camera is not in use

I gave an app permission to use my photos. The green circle comes on, even when my camera is not in use. Why is that?

Open your control center to see what it using your camera.

To open Control Center:

Place your finger in the upper right corner of your screen and then drag it down.

Next, look at the top center of your screen and it should be telling you about what's in use (i.e. the camera). You can click on that and open it for more details.
