Hey murfthesurf1,
Does this happen every time you use the Camera app or does it appear to happen when indoors? If not sure, use the camera outside and see if it makes a difference.
If it happens indoors and outdoors, follow the troubleshooting steps here: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working. If you still experience the issue, contact Apple Support here: Get Support. They will be able to help work towards a resolution.
