I keep getting this message,"Storage Full. Try removing music or photos using the Apple Watch app on iPhone.".

My watch says,"Storage Full. Try removing music or photos using the Apple Watch app on iPhone." I go to app but am unable to remove photos or music or podcasts from it. What do I do?

Hello Bryan_n_Bama,

That's a great question! There are several options to managing the storage space on your Apple Watch available. The steps included below are specific to managing storage utilized by music and photos you have synced to the Apple Watch.

  1. "On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap the My Watch tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Scroll to Music and tap it, then tap Edit in the upper-right corner. If you don’t see Edit, no music is synced to your watch.
  3. Under Playlists & Albums, tap the delete button  next to any music that you want to remove, then tap Delete. You can also turn off any automatically added playlists that you don't want on your watch."

Listen to music and podcasts on your Apple Watch

"Limit photo storage on Apple Watch"

  1. "Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap My Watch, then go to Photos > Photos Limit."

Choose a photo album and manage storage on Apple Watch

You can also find additional tips for managing the storage on your Apple Watch outlined in the following article. While the title of the article references not having enough available storage to update, the information outlined in that article are still relevant.
