iPhone 14 Pro rear camera makes fuzzy/crackling noise
Recently, I've discovered a very quiet, but noticeable if in a silent area, crackling/fuzzy noise that appears to be sourced from the microphone in the rear camera module.
I'm on the latest iOS and have done nothing harmful or unusual with my phone to cause this problem. I've never noticed this before, but I've probably never been in a silent room and held the camera module beside my ear before.
The sound can be heard at any time, even if the phone is powered off and is restarting. The sound is much louder when the camera system is in use, and can vary between different apps. It's very discrete when the cameras are not in use.
The sound changes slightly as I switch between camera modes, e.g. video, portrait, and photo. In 'slo-mo' mode, it adds a slight ringing tone. In video mode, the sound gets even fainter.
There sound gets quieter when I switch to the front camera. I've restarted my iPhone and the issue persists.
Not sure what's the cause of this issue. Is it hardware or software? I purchased the iPhone in October, 3 months ago. This could be normal behaviour for the microphone in this iPhone. However, I've never heard anything like it on other iPhones.
