Ford Sync, iphone 13 pro max connection issue

Within the last week though the phone is no longer recognizeable to the SYNC system in my Ford. I have master reset, restarted my phone, removed the devices and tried readding them, you name it I've tried it. I also told my phone to "forget" Sync and now I have spent the last 3 hours trying to find it again. My phone will not register the car and the car will not register my phone. The last week it was finnicky, I would have to go to bluetooth devices on my phone and connect it as anytime I tried to connect from the car it said device not found. If I connected it that way it would only work for music, it would not allow me to use the phone like usual. It usually connects on its own but it has totally stopped connected at all the last 2 days. I don't know if it's a ford issue or an apple issue or both but I'm running out of troubleshooting options......

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you need help with connecting to your cars Bluetooth. We completely understand why you'd reach out, and are happy to help.

Per this article, there are a couple of steps that may need to be checked: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car - Apple Support

Make sure that your device is unlocked and on the Home screen.

If possible, try to connect using another cable or USB port. Check the manual that came with your car to learn how to connect an Apple device.

Check your charging port for any debris or damage. Make sure that your charging cable is properly inserted into the port.

Update your device.

Make sure that your stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.

Have you also tried connecting the iPhone to other Bluetooth devices to see if it works? If it does, then you may need to reach out to the car manufacturer as at that point it could be the stereo having issues.
