Can a ipod touch get the ios update 16

The iPod touch can't support iOS 16.

• Your iPod touch will maybe support an update like iOS 15.7.3

Why the iPod touch not support iOS 16 ?

• Too old : The iPod touch 7 has the a10 chip like the iPhone 7. The a10 chip is too old to support iOS 16. You will maybe have a slow os if you can update your iPod touch to iOS 16.

• Too small : The iPod touch screen is maybe too small to support features like iOS 16. It's the same think with the iPhone SE 1.

• Apple discontinue the iPod touch : If apple discontinue the iPod apple don't want that the iPod touch support iOS 16 because this have no sens to discontinue the iPod and this iPod support iOS 16. In the case apple will release an iPod touch 8.
