My ipod is not updating to iOS 16

Open Settings, go into VPN & Device Management, remove the beta profile, restart the unit, and run Software Update again. If there isn't one, check that it can properly communicate with Apple's servers.

This will only enable the 15.7.2 update. No iPod Touch is capable of 16 or above.
