How do I get my keyboard keys to repeat?

How do I go about getting the keys to repeat (some do, eg space and delete)? I cannot get my keyboard keys to repeat! I have moved the repeat rate and delay sliders in system preferences to no avail. I am running Ventura on my macbook air m2.

Command+{key} shortcuts are intermittently repeating, and keyboard is lagging intermittently too (although they don't repeat keys) I am using a Magic Keyboard. Could it be something wrong with my command key? it could sorta explain the repeating keys, maybe if the CMD key got stuck for a second when I press it sometimes. I should be able to test that with the right-side CMD key, just haven't bothered to yet. That wouldn't explain the lag though, which I see as possibly a separate issue. Is this a Ventura issue? I've heard that Apple doesn't care about Mac OS anymore. If I had an old Mac or another Magic Keyboard I would be able to test and compare but I don't. Hmm... There are wifi devices, but I disabled the 2.4 Ghz band a long time ago, and the 5Ghz network/devices shouldn't interfere with the 2.4 Ghz band of bluetooth In case you can't tell, I haven't used Macs much in a few years.

How can I prevent my cursor from shifting while typing on MacBook Air? Everytime I press the comma key, It shifts my cursor to the start of the line which is very annoying while typing. Either it will shift the typing cursor to the start of the line of to the line just above the current line. It really sucks when you are coding and you have to use comma several times. Its happening on all the application. My mac is currently on the latest mac version of 15.2. Idk, is it a glitch or what? If there is anything I can do, please help. [Re-Titled By Moderator]

MacOS has not had repeating keys by default for a decade or so. You may be able to get it back with the terminal command in the link provided by mulberry58. Let us know.
