Mail not updating

My mail icon on the first page of my iPhone and iPad is my aol mail. It will not update the last two days. Anyone know how to fix this?

I’ve tried all the suggestions and tips and nothing has worked. I saw a post on here that suggested going into settings, notifications and badges but that did nothing can anybody help? Thanks

Mail Icon doesn't show number of unread emails on iPhone I've solved this before. But it keeps happening. I make sure Badges is turned on - turn the phone off and on - it works, then - after a bit (no pattern), it disappears again!

gmail app icon has disappeared on iphone SE 2nd generation Updated gmail app through App Store. No icon for Gmail. Shut down, then restarted iphone. No icon for Gmail. Went to settings, gmail. It is version 6.0.230709. Updated today, Aug 9 at 1240EDT. All settings seemed correct. Noticed default mail app wasn't Gmail, made it default. I noticed that some brainiac said all you have to do is hold the icon, and it will start everything shaking; idiot, THERE IS NO ICON TO TOUCH. THAT'S WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! Where did the Gmail icon go? It was there yesterday! Note, the name of my device is iphone 5s. I converted it from my old phone.

Please check if the device is connected to the internet either over WiFi or cellular.
