Studio display mic quality

The mic quality on the studio display is poor. Lots of bass, but not much on the mids and high frequencies. Anyone else noticed this? Seems like something that firmware could address. I wouldn't have noticed unless I watched back some screen recordings I did. I then asked colleagues on virtual meetings who confirmed it.

Studio Display speakers and microphone cut out or microphone makes thumping beat When I choose my Studio Display as my speakers then play something from a Zoom meeting, YouTube, or any other source I have tried, I will hear the first 2 seconds or so of sound, and then the sound will cut out. If I am using the mic, people either tell me they can't hear me or that they hear a rhythmic thumping beat that sounds sort of like this. A complete power cycle of the Studio Display seems to resolve this issue, but it is very annoying.

Microphone on series 8 not working The microphone on series is 8 is not working consistently. Need to switch on and off for it to work. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Apple Studio Monitor Terrible Echo on Video Calls I received an Apple Studio Display (27in) yesterday and have been using today with my MacBook Pro for several video calls on Google Meet. All of the other attendees on the call are hearing a terrible Echo of themselves. When I turn on CC, I can see that the Monitors microphone is picking up the Monitors speakers and it’s typing out other people’s sentences as if it was me saying it. I’ve ensured that I have the monitor selected as the mic input and speaker output at a system level and in google meet. I also have tried lowering the volume of the speaker and lowering the mic input volume but neither are stopping it. I have never had this problem with the MacBook pro’s internal mic/speaker, AirPods, a Polycom speakerphone or any other device.
