HP AirPrint signal functionality issue

Setup an HP envy 7500e printer with Airprint enabled. I move 25ft from printer, still have Wi-Fi but no Airprint printers display. Doesn't Airprint operate within my Wi-Fi network? If I have Wi-Fi shouldn't I by default have Airprint signal as well?

Hi,

Is HP envy 7500e correct? Please check the exact model number.

Generally speaking, AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. The printer and the Mac computer must be connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

If all settings are OK, but there is a problem with device discovery, you could try the following power-cycle sequence (with these waiting times; do not forget the router): Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other connected devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Thank you. So, this is an HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer. Correct?

This model does not appear in the latest (en-us edition, December 13, 2022) About AirPrint - Apple Support, but it was listed in the July 01, 2022 issue of the same article. AirPrint is also mentioned in the HP specifications for the model.

HP Smart may be needed for setup.

Is the printer connected to a Wi-Fi router (the same router as the Mac)? That is, you should use a connection via a Wi-Fi router (not a direct Wi-Fi connection from Mac to printer).

Is it the distance printer to router, or Mac to router?

At a longer distance, the Wi-Fi signal will become weaker. At some point the connection will not be reliable, and that would affect AirPrint.

Troubleshooting AirPrint:

Restart your Mac:

Having just installed this printer, restart your Macs nd then log in as the same user. The caches for the print's install on the Mac may have yet to consolidate.

If that's too technical, then read this...

Try This:

A. Go Through the Manufacturer: HP

Elsewise...

B. Go Through Apple Support Site:

  1. Go Here: If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device
  2. Scroll Down to: If your printer is AirPrint-enabled
  3. Try what is On the 4 bullets
  4. If that Doesn't Work: Reset the printing system
