Airport security scanner messed with my phone

It’s been over 24hrs since i went through an airport security scanner and my iPhone XS Max has been seizing and doing random things on its own. It very hard to type and really do anything with the phone even after switching it off for about 5hrs straight thinking it would help. Also did a system upgrade but it’s still as messed up. What do I do?

Hi Beebeth111,

I provide my condolences to your phone 😆. However, here's what you'll need to do.

Apple Service

Take your iPhone to an Apple Authorised Service Provider and have them check it out for you. Usually, they can provide you with a diagnostic test to determine if your phone has any issues, whether hardware or software.

Contact the Airport which created a problem with your phone

If your phone is found to have an issue with the Airport's scanner, contact the Airport and explain the issue. They can either provide compensation for the damaged phone or explain to you what steps you should take further regarding the damaged iPhone.

Good luck in resolving your phone issue or receiving proper compensation.

All the best,

~Mo
