Dbl-click on the file. You can also control-click on the file and choose "Open" from the menu.

Where are files from Preview saved using "File" "Save" option? I opened a picture from a website in Mac Preview. I the selected "File" "Save" and it saved the file but I don't know where it saved it. Where does the Preview App save files to when using "File" "Save"?

In Settings: Wallpaper can the file name be displayed? (Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1) Is there a method for the file being used as the wallpaper to be displayed? I have a folder with greater than 1500 pictures that I use to randomly display as Wallpaper. I would like to know what file is being displayed so I can maybe find it easier. Any help would be much appreciated. iMac with Mac OS Venutera 13.0.1

Click once and press the space bar to view the image in Quick Look. From there you can open it in Preview (default), or other image competent applications by right-clicking on that Open in Preview choice.
