Using shared office365 mailbox in native mail app

Hi,

My organization uses office365 with shared mailboxes. Since I really dislike the outlook app, I would like to access my shared mailboxes with the native mail app on my iPad (iPadOS 16).

According to my research it seems that using Multi-Factor and an app password should work, so I asked my admin to enable these (without MFA and app passwords it didn't work).

I've tried accessing my shared mailboxes using this configuration: https://www.osthoff.net/shared-mailbox-in-der-ios-mail-app-unter-ios-15/ using the app password instead of my normal mail account password. Sadly, I keep getting the error message "The IMAP server outlook.office365.com doesn't support password authentication".

Does anyone know how I need to configure my account (or what the admin needs to enable) so I can use my shared mailbox natively? Thank you!
