Battery widget sync

How do I sync my battery widgets? They are all on the same iCloud account and were backed up this morning. This is how the widget appears on both devices:

On my iPad 11 Pro (newest generation):

  • iPad Battery
  • Apple Pencil Battery
  • (Empty space)
  • (Empty space)

on my iPhone (12 Pro):

  • iPhone Battery
  • Apple Watch Battery
  • (Empty Space)
  • (Empty Space)

Thank you.

Hello PuppyandCats,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Are you trying to sync them as far as which devices appear in each widget? If so, that's not possible since each device will only show devices that are connected to it. For example, your Apple Pencil will only appear on your iPad. If the question is in regard to the empty spaces, this might be due to the size of your battery widget. You can change the size if you'd like. Guidance below is from Show the iPhone battery percentage - Apple Support.

"Add a Batteries widget to your Home Screen

  1. Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps begin to jiggle.
  2. Tap the Add Widget button at the top of the screen, then scroll down and tap Batteries.
  3. Swipe left and right through the widgets to view the size options.
  4. The different sizes show different information.
  5. When you see the size you want, tap Add Widget, then tap Done."

However, when we tested the issue on an iOS and iPadOS device, we received this notification under the “Status” heading: “View the status of your <device> and connected Bluetooth accessories”. This is why you see the battery percentage of your Apple Watch but not the battery percentage of your iPhone or iPad.

All the best.
