I accidentally deleted an entire text thread. I can't figure out how to restore it. I went to the edit button, but there is nothing there that says anything about deleted messages or texts or restore deleted messages or text. Additionally, I went into iCloud and my messages button was not on, so I don't think they would be saved in the cloud? So is there another way I can restore this deleted thread?

Unfortunately, no.
The deleted message will not appear in Recently Deleted unless you installed iOS 16 on your phone before you deleted the message.....and....the message was deleted less than 30 days ago.
But.....the iPhone 7 shown in your profile is not capable of running iOS 16.
Even if the messages were being backed up to iCloud, after you deleted the message, the next backup later that day or the next day would pick up that action and delete the message from the backup.
