Instagram data remove

I factory reset my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Backups are disabled.

After factory reset I reinstalled the Instagram app. Then I opened the app and it was logged in to my account. No password and no username needed. Just opened my profile.

On iCloud isn't there the instagram app, so I can't make off the cloud saving.

But it means somewhere my instagram data is stored.

How it possible? How can I full delete the data?

Thx,

Peter

Hello petiblck,

That's a great question! To confirm, did you restore your iPhone to factory settings using a computer, or did you erase the iPhone via the Settings of the device? If you erased the iPhone by going in to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone, then tapped Erase All Content and Settings, then signed in to the Apple ID you previously used when setting up the iPhone again, this could be why the account information remained when reinstalling the app. Restoring your iPhone to factory settings using the steps listed below can help ensure all content is removed from your device. The steps listed below are specific to restoring your iPhone using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later installed. You an find these steps, along with steps for restoring your Mac using earlier macOS versions and Windows PC in the following article.

  1. "On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open the Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes. Find out which macOS your Mac is using.
  2. Connect your device to your computer.
  3. If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer, follow the onscreen steps. Get help if you forgot your passcode
  4. Select your device when it appears on your computer. Learn what to do if your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch is unresponsive or won't turn on. Or get help if your device doesn't appear on your computer.
  5. Click Restore [device]. If you're signed into Find My, you need to sign out before you can click Restore.
  6. Click Restore again to confirm. Your computer erases your device and installs the latest iOS, iPadOS, or iPod software.
  7. After your device restores to factory settings, it restarts. Now you can set it up as new."
