gift card scam

I bought an Apple gift card during a scam. The scammer told me to scratch the back of the card. I said it has numbers. She told me to scratch anyway and a PIN number will appear. I have never dealt with a gift card and did as told. Now the card was invalidated. The woman, Morgan Smith, never called me again when I told her I had scratched it. What to do now? Any suggestions?

Here is how gift card redemption is supposed to work: How to redeem your Apple Gift Card or App Store & iTunes gift card - Apple Support

Here is what to do: If you can't redeem your Apple Gift Card or App Store & iTunes Gift Card - Apple Support

That includes what to do if the gift card redemption number is illegible.

If you somehow gave the scammers the number on the card, the card is now worthless.

Nobody is going to refund someone having gotten scammed though, because any such refund requests would quickly themselves become fodder for I-got-scammed scams.
