PDF Corrupted/Deleted from iPad Files App I have an iPad Air (5th Gen) that I use for work purposes. I was marking up a PDF using the files app last week while on the job site. When I got back to the office, I opened the same PDF on my iPad to reference while working on something else. I need that same PDF for this week, however I can no longer open it. I can see the file show up in my "Recents" tab, but when I select it nothing happens. I can't preview the PDF, share it, rename, get info, or do any action to it. My other PDFs work fine. It feels like the file is corrupted, but I can't understand how the file was corrupted when I haven't used my iPad since I last opened that same PDF. This is the 2nd time a PDF has been corrupted on my iPad, forcing me to consider other devices to bring to job sites. Why is this happening, and is there any possible way to recover my PDF? I have obviously done the basics. Hard restarting iPad, trying to plug in to my desktop to view the file, etc.

iPhone 16 opening PDF and GIF file is problem I can't open certain PDF and GIF/JPEG files in iPhone 16 pro (IOS 18.2.1). These files easily opens in iPhone 15. Any solution?? I called Apple for this they also verified the problem and I was told they received the similar complaint from other user and it will get fix in the new software release ISO 18.2.1, which didn't solve the problem. This is very disturbing since I can't open the files; I have log in to my PC and review from there. During travailing I can't open the file which is very annoying after paying $900-$1200 for a phone.

You may have removed or disabled one of the Cloud Drives (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox, Flickr, box, AmazonDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc) from your device.

Please check which cloud drive had that file. Add it to your device and then you can open it from the Files app.
