Coffee spilt on iphone 12 and screen is now only partially responsive

Hi everyone, today a few drops of coffee spilled on my iphone 12 screen. I didnt think too much of it at the time, and wiped them off when i noticed with a dampish cloth, but have since realised that now only half of my iphone screen is responsive. Eg, the top line of my keyboard doesn't work (but the rest of the keyboard is fine) so i cant type messages (well not easily)...

I do have a screen protector on my phone (one of those liquid screen protectors) and I am worried that maybe some of the coffee has affected that so I need to get that removed. Thoughts? I dont live near a genius store and I am a bit flummoxed...

Hello,

Hmm, I wouldn't think that a few drops of coffee would cause any damage, but you never know.

Remove the screen protector and any case and let everything dry out in the air for a few days. Do not try to charge it in the meantime. Check the liquid-damage indicator as explained below

Good luck.
