I have a watch series 6 on OS 8 and iphone 7 plus on iOS 15. when i try to update my watchOS to 9 from Apple Watch it gives me error "Unable to check for update, An error occurred while checking for a software update". Please guide how to update Watch OS to 9?

You cannot update your watch to WatchOS9 on an iPhone 7. WatchOS0 requires a phone which can run iOS 16 or higher and an iPhone 7 is too old and incapable of being updated to the current iOS version. If you want the newest WatchOS you need to invest in a newer, more modern iPhone. And do NOT think about using someone else's iPhone to update your watch. It will render the watch unusable on your current iPhone.
