Itune restore backup did not ask for password

I used a phone enrolled into a Intune MDM-system, with a policy forcing encrypted backup. I used Itunes, on a new computer, Intunes had been used for reset phones, never used for backup. I connected the phone, started the backup and noticed the encryption choice was checked - as it should be - but Itune never asked for password. We where two persons observing this. When we started the restore Itune asked for a password. This happened 2023-01-10. I checked the backup-folder, there where only this backup. I have tried many passwords, no one works. Maybe it used a password from the phone - I dont know - no screenlock passwords works.

See Disable iOS backup encryption - Apple Community. In particular:

The only way to use an encrypted backup, or turn off backup encryption if currently enabled, is with the password that was entered when it was set up. The setting is stored on the device itself, so persists even if you delete your current backup set or switch to a new computer. If you have forgotten the password, or were not aware that encryption had been enabled, consider that it might be any computer, Apple ID, Wi-Fi password or device PIN that you've used in the past, working from the assumption that you might have reused a common password that you were using when encryption was first activated.
