Is there a setting I need to use in order to receive text messages from new phone numbers?
I used to receive all texts on my iMac rather than just on my phone.

YOu would need to set this up as you did your old Mac, a mac alone can't receive text message click here Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support

Message app on iMac does not receive all messages, especially those from new contacts, ie. a company texting me a security code. On my old iMac I received these and could quickly apply them rather than copying from my phone.
