How to set up 3 HDMI monitors on 2016 Mac Book Pro?

I currently run 3 monitors on my work windows computer, and my set up is as follows:

(2) Monitors are connected through USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Multi Monitor Adapter and connected to my windows laptop.

(1) Monitor is connected directly to the HDMI port on laptop.

With this set up, I'm able to use all 3 monitors interchangeably and has been a life saver for my workflow at work.

I'd like to be able to have the same set up for personal use with my 2016 MacBook Pro, but the same set up does not work for me when connecting the Multi Monitor Adapter to an HDMI to usb-c adapter and the HDMI cable to a usb c adapter individually.

Is there a specific piece of gear I will need?
