Consumer Reports Subscription on Apple Pay (directly through CR website)

I am trying to wrangle all my subscriptions and note how they are being paid. I have a Consumer Reports subscription that I got directly through the website, and the website shows my payment method as merely "apple pay." I can't see WHICH card in Apple Pay it's using. Should I assume it is my default card in Apple Pay and will automatically update if I change the default? I like not giving every site I use my card details, but this is unclear and kind of annoying.

I suggest you go ahead and disable all the wallet, credit cards and reinstall them. There’s only one card that you can actually fund your Apple Pay with every other card will just be your regular debit or credit card to avoid all days purchase an Apple gift card.

No, there is no reason to remove and add all cards again, that makes no sense. One cannot fund Apple Pay; it's nearly the service that enables contactless payments. And, why would the OP need an Apple gift card?

No, you'll probably have to review all of your cards. It's likely your default, but you may have selected a different card to use.
