I have an iPhone 11 with IOS 16.2. update which has locked me in dark mode.

I can turn it off and back on and it goes to light mode and then will switch back to dark.

how do I fix?

Try this -> go to Settings -> tap Display & Brightness -> Appearance -> tap Light.

Turn Off Automatic.
