Yes, It is possible to blind cc multiple people in a text message on iPhone.

*goto Settings

*goto Messages

*you need to turn off “iMessage” and turn off “Group Messaging”.

now you can go to your text messages, create one message and add multiple recipients. Your text message will now go out as an SMS group message but each person will receive the text message individually. Their replies will come back to you individually and no one will be able to see one another or other persons responses.

I used this feature to successfully send out one message to a large group for my Super Bowl pool. Nobody saw each other and everybody’s replies came back to me individually, not in the group.

Great! You shared your experience with others, way to go! However, the part where you said "turn off “Group Messaging”. is not clear to me.

Nevertheless, to add to your experience I would say that, there are three types of group messages...

  • Group iMessage - iPhone to iPhone
  • Group SMS - iPhone to Android
  • Group MMS - iPhone to Android

This is normal "All responses in a group SMS are sent as individual text messages and the recipients can’t see the other responses from the group." There are no separate settings required.

Note: When you turn off iMessage you need to enable MMS by your Carrier and on the device to send images/files

Thanks for the details. I’m not 100% sure what turning off those settings meant, I just know that’s what worked for me and accomplished what I wanted. As far as “group messaging”, that was an on/off switch in my settings under messaging. Switching that off enabled me to send messages without everybody else seeing the other recipients.
