I have a new Macbook Air with 2022 M2 chipset, running Monterey and I can't see files in my "Recents" folder when uploading from Chrome. I had this problem for all files, but in general have solved it with help from others, but I can't see anyone asking this question.
I've allowed Chrome Full Disk Access, but Recents always is empty. Using Finder, it's full of files.

Just to close the loop. I did upgrade Monterey to the latest level and I can now see the Recents folder! Thanks for the recommendation!

Well, aside from the fact I've never seen the problem, the current version of Monterey is 12.6.2. You may want to update first and see if that helps.
Is Chrome up to date, v. 109.0.5414.87? I'm not seeing the issue in Monterey.
Actually, I just tried Safari, and Recents doesn't show any files using that, either. So, it may not be Chrome-specific.
Yes. Copied from "About Chrome" - Version 109.0.5414.87 (Official Build) (arm64) . Monterey is 12.5 (21G72). Periodically, Chrome won't bring up a dialog box at all, when I try to upload an attachment (for example). Shutting Chrome down and bringing back up always fixes that. But I've never been able to see any files in Recents.
