my time and day/date is dim, and it's not in do not disturb mode.

iPhone 13 was in my pocket, and apparently while walking, it entered wrong password multiple times, as when I took it out, it said iPhone unavailable, try again in 5 minutes. I turned the phone off and back on, then it worked, but the time and day/date is grayed out, not bright like it should be. after googling that symptom, it said phone was likely in do not disturb mode. I checked that and confirmed it is not. any other suggestions?

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Hello yellow1053,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Let's try to restart your iPhone using these steps:

"How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later

  1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears. The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."

More details can be found here: Restart your iPhone

If the issue persists, let's press the side button 3 times to make sure any accessibility settings were not enabled.

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details about what you are experiencing. Also, what is your exact iOS version?

Cheers!
