Watch icons after update

I am using the simple face for my apple watch. I like the look and don't like my watch cluttered. My watch updated last night and now the icons all have little labels around them. For example activity was just the circles which I liked. Now it is circles with numbers around it which I hate. I can't figure out how to get the icons back to the way they were yesterday.

Apple Watch app view icon disappears while switching views I used to be able to switch between list and grid app views by scrolling to the bottom of the view and tapping the “list” icon (see screenshot). But for a while now, after scrolling to the bottom the screen, when I take my finger off the screen in order to tap the icon, the screen rebounds up slightly (Apple’s standard “elastic” effect), so the icon moves out of view, and I can’t tap it. I know I can switch views in Settings, but I want to be able to use the icon to do it quickly. I have tried restarting my watch, which did not fix the problem. It’s an Apple Watch Series 7 running WatcOS 11.2. Any ideas? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Well, it looks like you can't eliminate all that extra text. But you can change the color, so you may be able to make it less obnoxious. (I also use simple.)
