Give a previously denied app, permission to access "Photos" manually

I need to give an (iOS) App access to photos, but the first time it asked for access, I declined... now it won't ask again, and I can not add it manually... what to do?

There are no [+] [-] buttons on the Privacy & Security / Photos tab.

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, also resetting it using "clan my mac" but nothing helps...

Any way to manually grant a previously denied app permission to Access Photos?

Hi TheAlikA,

For help with access permissions for photos typically "If you turn off access for an app, you’re asked to turn it on again the next time that app tries to use your information." You can find this information and helpful details here: Control access to your photos on Mac

You can also find additional settings to change here: Change Privacy & Security settings on Mac

If the issue remains, test reinstalling the app with the steps here: Uninstall apps on your Mac

You say iOS, but mention CleanMyMac which is not iOS. (A number of people have had a bad experience with CleanMyMac messing up the Photos Library. Many of us have deleted this app and stay away from it.)

Also you show a Mac dialog. I noticed on my phone that the heading is different-- the iPhone says "APPS WITH REQUESTED PHOTOS ACCESS." Have you looked at Privacy on the phone?

Thanks, yes of course I've tried the obvious steps, I even attached a screenshot of the "Privacy and Security" where the app in question is not listed. And as mentioned I uninstalled re-installed and even used third-party apps to clean up any associated files which a simple uninstall won't achieve.

unfortunately, nothing helped, so I made this post.
