Why doesn’t Screentime work anymore?

It has been at least a year now of screentime no longer functioning properly. I setup settings for all of my kids and then within 24 hours they are cleared out. No, my children do not know the passcode. I have changed it multiple times. I see this posted all over the Internet. All Apple’s previous suggestion do not fix the issue. When will Apple address this?

Screen time restrictions keep turning off We have two children where we have enabled screen time. Most days one or both settings are reset. Downtime is off. App limits are removed. Content and privacy is off. This functionality is completely unreliable. Also they do not know the code.. its been changed.

Screentime bug seems deliberate I too have been living with the screentime bug. It causes lots of problems in my house. We gave phones to my 11 year olds after becoming dependent on screentime as the control mechanism with my 14 year old. it is now worse than ever and doesn’t work at all! My kids can do everything and use their phones constantly. I physically take them away and they use findmy to get them back. I have had to purchase lockboxes. How ridiculous. apple i am convinced has disabled screentime by prioritizing security features which prevent it. Its a known issue and has been for over a year. I am going to upgrade to ios16 tomorrow before switching my family to android. We all have new iphones so this is a big change.

The screen time on my kids phone disappear after one or two days, it is really annoying. I have changed the screen time password at least 10 times, there is no way they know the password. If you know how to fix this, please let me know. I have been using screen time for my kids for a couple of years and it worked well until a couple of weeks that I have noticed that after one or two days screen time limits disappear. I have changed the screen time password many times, there is no way my kids know the password. Is there any way we can fix this problem, the kids are spending too much time on their phones.

Hello pdesantes,

We want to make sure Screen Time is working the way it should.

Go to Settings > Screen Time.
Tap Change Screen Time Passcode, then tap Change Screen Time Passcode again.

Test if this occurs with a new Screen Time passcode.
