January challenge not recognizing days I've achieved

My January challenge is to close all three activity rings. As of today (1/15/23) I've closed all three rings 8 times yet it isn't recognizing them. It states:

"earn this award by closing all 3 activity rings 14 times this month. You've closed them 0 times so far"


Has anyone else had this issue?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you need help with Challenges app not syncing. We completely understand why you'd reach out, and are happy to help.


The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support


If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
