IPAD Air 5 - Split screen application popup and Siri

I use my IPAD Air 5 in my vehicle for Navigation and Music in split screen mode. For Navigation , I use Google Maps and for Music, Spotify. When Spotify is open, I use Siri to skip to the next song or go back to the previous one.

The problem is, Siri opens an additional popup/widget for Spotify when the app is already showing and the popup stays on to unless I touch it. How can I make the popup not appear but allow Siri to still be able to skip songs?

Hello MrNoshot,

Are you able to fully test using Split View between Apple related apps with Siri? You could test this using the Apple Maps app and the Music app from Apple.

If the same issue occurs when you test Apple related apps, there doesn't seem to be a way to disable this type of pop up. We'd suggest providing Apple with your feedback about this here: Product Feedback
