On the back of my air pods pro2 it says that assemble in japan are they fake or original and I can’t find nearby options in find my

If your AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) say they were assembled in Japan, they were probably not made by Apple. Most Apple products read: "Designed by Apple in California / Assembled in China".


You can identify your AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) by finding the model number. The following are the model numbers associated with the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) designed by Apple:

You can find the model number of your AirPods by doing this:

  • Connect your AirPods to your iPhone.
  • Go to Settings on your iPhone and select your AirPods.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of this page where you will find "About".
  • Look for the "Model Number" and use it to identify whether or not your AirPods Pro were made by Apple.
