Phone call will not allow me to choose options for banking

I have had numerous problems with my iPhone SE. Whenever I call a number that I have to choose an option using the keyboard, like choose option 1 for banking or choose option 2 for customer service, I hear the beep, but it does nothing, it's not triggering the choices. I cannot get through to my bank, or my insurance company or even my telephone service provider. My phone has latest operating system, and this has only happened recently. Does anyone have any similar problems and how did you fix it.

It appears that DTMF signaling (tones) is not working on your cellular service line. When you are on a call and need to select menu options by pressing numeric keys on your iPhone, then DTMF signaling is used. This function is controlled by your carrier. I, therefore, recommend that you contact your carrier and explain your case. Your carrier should be able to restore the functionality on your account.
