What is error -6,727 on updating Airport Extreme ?

Trying to update Airport Extreme. What is error -6,727?

Error 6727 tells you what you already know.....there was an error in the firmware update process.....but the actual error is unknown.

Are you trying to use a Mac or an iPhone / iPad to update the firmware?

If it is a Mac, what operating system is the Mac running?

Do you have the "tower" shaped version of the AirPort Extreme or one of the flat "pizza box" models? If it is one of the flat models, look for the model number on the bottom of the AirPort. It's hard to read, but it starts with an "A" followed by 4 numbers. Post back with that info please.

Thanks for the reply. I have a "tower" version of the Airport Extreme. Finally, it worked holding down Option key and trying repeatedly. All started with "Backup Not Completed" on Time Machine and suggested updating firmware on Airport Extreme might help. Prefer not to "reformat" G-Drive if don't have to. Have new Mac Studio and problem seemed to start after updating to Ventura 13.1. Hope this will fix backup issue. Thanks for the response.
