  1. This is a user to user forum. You are not addressing Apple here directly.
  2. There has been no breach. Scam emails are a dime a dozen. Spoofing an email address is easy to do. There is no indication that the email came from Apple directly, so no reason to conclude there has been a breach.
  3. Scam and phishing emails are always a threat and Apple advises about it here ➡️ Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

You are both missing the point and regurgitating apple so called policy or links thahas nothing to do with this

the adress is probably legitimate in as far as apple is concerned . they never respond to bad news and take their liberties on privacy and is part of the business model

the point is that some one must av access to both the mail adress and indeed a mobile phone that is not in the public domain (never have been and never will be ) That does indeed point to an internal person or a glitch in the routines and we conlude that apples services can no longer be trusted and change vendor that has better encryption

Nobody is regurgitating any policy. What policy?

There simply is no indication of a breach. Any one, can fake an email address. Just because it claims to be coming from Apple does not mean it's actually coming from inside Apple. It simply means someboyd faked the address and you received an email that claims to be coming from Apple. That's it.

It's a scam, plain and simply. Apple has not been breached. You can believe anything you want, but it won't alter reality.

Um, no. There has been no breach. You received spam. Delete it and move on.

Nope. There has been no breach. At best, it's spam (and most likely is). At worst, someone is trying to access your account using your Apple ID. (unlikely).
