iMessage won't sync between iPhone, iCloud, Macbook after upgrading iCloud

I have looked through all the usual tips here. My iMessage app on my Macbook and on my iPhone are both set to sync (have manually clicked "sync" a few times to be sure). On my MacBook, AppleID preferences are set to include all my various emails & phone #s as "reachable" and iMessage is set to sync in "iCloud" settings. When I access my iCloud at https://www.icloud.com/, iMessage does not appear and there doesn't seem to be any way to add it from there.

I am seeing messages from only certain family members on all devices, but not from other iMessage users, and certainly not from non-iMessage SMS users.

All this worked fine before I upgraded my iCloud storage. Help please!

Hello tsl_1900,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your messages not syncing.

First, iCloud does not have an option to show Messages in iCloud.com. They only sync with your devices.

First, ensure you have the settings correct: Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices - Apple Support

Next, you mentioned that you upgraded iCloud. Make sure you have enough iCloud storage still. Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

"If you run out of iCloud storage, your device won’t back up to iCloud, new photos and videos won't upload to iCloud Photos, and iCloud Drive, other iCloud apps, and messages won't stay up to date across your devices. And you also won't be able to send or receive emails with your iCloud email address."

Thanks.
