iPhone photos capture time in local time on the phone but home timezone on Mac

This issue is really annoying. Whenever my iPhone (XS, iOS 16) takes pictures in whatever timezone different from my home timezone, they're saved with the correct capture date, which is local time. Picture's metadata on the phone says so and photos are arranged all good in the photos app, no problem there. HOWEVER, when I import pics to my Mac (macOS Ventura), they for some reason change their capture date (creation date it's called to be exact, I don't see any parameter like "capture date" so I assume that's what it is) to... my home timezone.

To make it 100% clear with an example, say I take a pic with the phone in New York at 1pm. iPhone shows it was taken at 1pm, but when I import it to MacBook it says the picture was taken at 7pm, which is my default home timezone's time in Europe.

Why is this a problem, why do I even bother? Very simple- whenever I want to combine pictures from different devices in one folder e.g. all pictures from a vacation, and have them sorted by creation date, files aren't properly ordered.

But the most unfathomable thing here for me is: WHAT FOR? What's the reason behind displaying pictures in my home time? Why the heck would I need to know that late night pic from LA was taken early morning in my home country? Imagine viewing a picture of a starry sky, then checking the time it was taken... and it says 10am. Come on...

Anyone know what I can do about it because this issue drives me crazy every time coming back from vacation?
