Screen Time Controls Not Working

I set up my child's computer and iphone to have screen time controls.

Both my (parent/guardian account) and my son's iphone are using iOS 16.2

Both my and my son's computers are using the same Mac OS 11.6

I have restarted all 4 devices

On my son's computer, I have set up downtime and app limits. These are mimic'd on the iphone.

However, neither device is blocked during downtime and none of the limited apps are actually being limited.

My son's mac book is a Mid 2019 Apple Macbook Air with 1.6 GHz Core i5 (13.3 inches, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) Space Gray

My macbook is 2017 Apple Macbook Pro with 2.8 GHz Quad-Core i7 (15 inch, 16GB)

My iphone is an iPhone 13 Pro

My son's iphone is iPhone SE 2020

It sounds like Screen Time isn’t working correctly. We know how important this is for you, and you’re in the right place for answers.

The first thing to verify Screen Time status is on for all devices.

Use Screen Time on all your devices

To share your Screen Time settings and reports across all your devices, make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on each device and Share Across Devices is turned on.

1. Go to Settings > Screen Time.

2. Scroll down, then turn on Share Across Devices.
